Vin StentaChief Executive Officer
Vin is the CEO of IES, having originally joined Cootes Transport in 1998 as Manager for the NSW and Queensland regions. In early 2001, he was appointed to the role of National Customer Service Manager and in July 2002 was promoted to the position of General Manager of the Cootes Transport Group. Following the acquisition of Cootes by ION Limited, Vin was appointed General Manager of ION Energy Services and was instrumental in the growth of this business through to its acquisition by CHAMP. Prior to joining Cootes, Vin worked for the Shell Company of Australia. He has worked in the Petroleum and Gas Industries for over 20 years and has vast experience in supply chain and logistics management, terminal and facilities management and aircraft refuelling operations.

Vin holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Swinburne University in Melbourne, Australia.


Phillip Gibbs - Group Finance Director and Company Secretary

BCom NSW, GDipFin Monash, CPA, MAICD.

 

Phillip joined the company in April 2009 and has over 35 years in the Finance sector with the past 20 years at senior executive levels. Over the past 7 years Phillip has had a successful career as a financial consultant working in Australia and the United Kingdom for a variety of companies in the manufacturing, food, chemical and tertiary industry sectors. Companies include Royal Haskoning and Rockwood Pigments in the UK, Solar Systems, Sunbeam Foods, Deakin University and also Nylex Limited in 2003/2004 in Australia.

Prior to this Phillip held senior finance executive positions in a variety of well established companies including H J Heinz Australia as Director of Finance and Supply and prior to that CFO of Group Financial Services at Heinz covering both Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this he was General Manager Finance at Tandem Computers and also General Manager Finance at ACI Packaging Group.

Within this background a wealth of experience has been accumulated over the Financial management function, including change management and restructuring, process re-engineering, operational planning, strategy planning and overall corporate leadership. 



Matthew Taylor – Chief Information Officer 
 

Matthew has a broad background in Information Technology, having been involved in many industries including Legal, Tourism, Insurance, Education and Health.   He started his career whilst still studying at University, in an entry level Systems Administration position.  Since then he has progressed through the Information Technology spectrum with his most recent role prior to IES being Information Technology Manager, Europcar Asia Pacific.  Matthew has a solid background in MIS Strategy, Project Management, IT Infrastructure, Business Applications and Software Development.   

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from Monash University, along with various industry certifications.



Greg Niven – General Manager, IES Liquids 

Greg joined IES’s heritage company Cootes Transport in 1995 in an operations role which he held for two years before moving to Adelaide in 1997 to assume the position of South Australia Manager. In 2000, he returned to Melbourne to work with the LPG business before taking up the position of Victorian and Interstate Manager. In 2003, Greg transferred to Sydney to become National Manager of the Sydney Fuels and Cootes Liquids businesses. In 2006, Greg became General Manager of Cootes and was subsequently promoted to General Manager of IES Liquids.

 


Danny LoGeneral Manager, IES Asia 

Danny has had more than 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry in Singapore and is instrumental in developing the status and profile of IES Asia as a reputable oil and gas haulage player. Danny is the General Manager of IES Asia, having previously held the position of Managing Director of Watt Wah Petroleum Haulage Pte Limited, IES Asia’s heritage company. During his time leading Watt Wah, Danny oversaw significant growth, with Watt Wah achieving a dominant market position in Singapore. He has also been presented with numerous awards from ExxonMobil and Chevron.

Danny holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore majoring in Political Science and History.



Rod Evans CEO, IES Equipment

Rod is the General Manager of the IES Equipment division, having joined the company in October 2004. Rod has had extensive manufacturing and business management experience in Australia and overseas, after commencing his professional career in Australia working with Cadbury Confectionery, and also spending time managing Cadbury New Zealand’s Auckland Operations. In 1988, Rod joined what was to become Pacific Dunlop and later Nestle, with responsibility for managing the Plumrose, Leggos, and Yoplait operations in regional Victoria. In 1997, Rod accepted the position of Vice President – Australian Operations with Caterair Australia, servicing the airline, catering, logistics and cleaning industries. This led to a promotion to the USA with parent company LSG Sky Chefs, where ultimately he achieved the position of Southwest Region, Vice President of Operations. During this time Rod developed a strong interest and involvement with lean manufacturing / business excellence which led to the establishment of a business excellence consulting business on his return to Australian in 2003, prior to taking up a position with Liquip.

Rod holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree and has had undertaken extensive post graduate training.

 


Gary Ireson - General Manager, IES Resources

Gary has over 24 years experience in the downstream energy industry principally working for a large industrial conglomerate, Wesfarmers, in a range of technical, managerial and senior roles. This included overseeing capital works projects involving LPG and LNG terminals and production facilities, cylinder filling plants and satellite terminal infrastructure. The value of these projects ranged from $5-135m.

His career commenced with Wesfarmers in the role of Works Engineer in the Kleenheat gas business and he rose to the position of General Manager in 1996 at the age of 32. He went on to have a number of other senior roles with responsibility for Wesfarmers’ gas and power interests in his most recent corporate position as Director, Gas and Power for Wesfarmers Energy.
